Above is a painting I finished last week, The Postmortem Tea Society. The start of a series of paintings I'm enjoying so much! The love, care and time spent on painting these new works lately has felt so satisfying and fulfilling. I've been dying (ha!) to illustrate a good ghost story or something in the horror genre, painting these are helping to satisfy that craving. After painting a really enjoyable Nancy Drew commission last month (below), it's really been stuck in my brain to paint more ghosts and things. Hoping to get a nice amount of painting done on these by the end of the summer. The Postmortem Tea Society will be a limited print of 10 or 15 pieces in the fall.
Will update more soon about some upcoming gallery shows, books & comics coming out in the coming months.
