With Halloween just a week away, I decided to have a limited edition, small run print made of a new painting, Bloody Mary. The piece will be sold in my shop until November 1st! Above is a really fun piece I painted for an art show, Something Spooky, at Guzu Gallery in Austin TX. There are some amazing artists involved in the show and if you're in the area, be sure to stop by! Show hangs until November 25th.
Below are two new cover images released this week, one for Red Sonja issue 7 and another for Archie issue 652 (out in January). I had so much fun with the retro concert poster/cover for the Archie issue. Working out all the little details and characters, the records and instruments-and of course, Josie and the Pussycats (my favorites!)!!. A big thanks to Rob Harrigan for laying in some beautiful custom letters on the cover for me!
It's been a hectic and busy fall, with a few neat projects on the way into 2014. Aside from work-work, I've been painting away on new pieces for my show next month. It's been a real challenge painting not only batches of monthly covers and assignments, but also coming up with new sketches and paintings. I'll be posting a little preview of some of the new work for the show in the next week or so! Until then, wishing everyone a very Happy Halloween!!
